How we build it
The part you can't see after the pour is what decides how long it lasts.
- FootingWalls start on a solid footing sized for the soil and the load.
- ReinforcementSteel is set inside the forms before the pour.
- FormsStraight, braced forms for clean, plumb faces and square corners.
- WaterHeadwalls are built to handle moving water. Retaining walls need a way for water to get out from behind them.
Questions about walls
Every project is a little different. Call or text 615-848-4847 and ask.
What is a headwall?
A concrete wall built around the ends of a culvert pipe. It keeps the fill from washing out, protects the pipe ends and gives the crossing a clean, finished edge.
Why do retaining walls fail?
Most failures come from water building up behind the wall. Drainage behind the wall matters as much as the concrete.
Do tall walls need an engineer?
Taller retaining walls can need an engineered design and a permit. We will tell you at the walkthrough what your wall needs.
